The majority of African markets have already embraced the newcomers, even though the Tecno Camon 50 series was supposed to debut at the MWC 2026 expo. Perhaps these gadgets will still be on display at the MWC show next month. However, we don’t need to wait for its specifications to be released. They’re already available to the public.
As of right now, the only two devices in the portfolio are the Tecno Camon 50 and 50 Pro. On paper, these phones are almost identical. However, a discrepancy in design is evident. The Pro model seems far more expensive than its other sibling because to its curved shape and 3D display.
Every phone features a 6.78″ AMOLED screen. It has a refresh rate of 144 Hz and has a 1080p FHD+ screen. The curved AMOLED screens of the Pro and the non-Pro have almost no bezels. Each panel has a 32MP selfie camera. Additionally, these new Camon phones from Tecno have an optical fingerprint ID.

Although their screen specifications may be identical, the Camon 50 Pro model has an additional camera: a 50MP (70mm) telephoto with a 3x optical zoom. Both phones share the remaining lens configuration. The Camon 50 series has a Sony LYT700C 50MP (main) and an 8MP (ultrawide) unit.
Although they have given the cameras a bit more punch this time, there isn’t much of a difference in CPU performance between generations. The Helio G200 silicon was utilized in the Camon 50 and 50 Pro. We are aware that it is a 2.2GHz platform with an AnTuTu score of less than half a million.
Unfortunately, the performance of these two phones is limited to entry-level. Based on what we’ve learned so far, they each contain 256GB of storage and at least 8GB of RAM. They all have a built-in Tecno AI suite for convenience, and they boot to the Android 16 HiOS 16 skin.
Each Camon 50 sibling is IP69K rated and features two speakers. Each phone even has an infrared blaster built in. The base pricing of the Tecno Camon 50 is approximately $290 (~PKR 81,000), which is obviously less expensive. The price increases to about $341 (~PKR 95,000) for the Camon 50 Pro. Keep a look out for these two newcomers’ local debuts since they are undoubtedly heading to Pakistan.
