The Tecno Spark 20 is now outdated. The FCC has already approved its replacement, which is expected to take the stage soon. With its FCC certification, the Tecno Spark 30 5G teases a near-launch while revealing several design and function details.
The December 2023 Spark 20 was available in a single 4G configuration. This time, it appears that a 5G edition is in the works for the upcoming Spark 30. The model code that the FCC allocated to it is ‘KL8’. Furthermore, the memory combination is read via the IMIEI label. This variant has 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM.
The name also suggests that it has a 5G-capable core, and given Tecno’s track record, it most likely comes from MTK’s Dimesmity series. The FCC has revealed more information than just the model number and storage combination. It is now evident that the Spark 30 5G might only handle 18W of charging.
The plans reveal that Tecno is working on a new design. There are four silos installed inside the elliptical camera module. Of those, the bigger one might be for the Tecno new Spark model’s primary camera, and the second one is probably for a secondary and tertiary lens.
What’s inside the other silos is unclear. We speculate that there might be a flash and a halo light. However, it’s a better design than the previous one. We can be certain of that much. The FCC also made a statement regarding its size. In addition, this device is 8 mm thick, 0.5 mm thinner than the previous Spark 20.
